How SuperWar works
The deal
One to five standard 52-card decks are shuffled together and dealt evenly, face-down, to every player. Each player's deck is a stack; you always flip the top card.
The battle
Every round, all active players flip their top card at once. The highest rank wins the pot (Ace high, 2 low). Suits don't matter.
The winner adds every flipped card to the bottom of their deck, in the exact order they were flipped. No shuffling — order is preserved.
WAR (tie)
If two or more players tie for the highest rank, it's WAR. Every tied player:
- Places three face-down cards on top of the pot.
- Then flips one face-up.
Highest face-up wins the whole pot. Tied again? Another war. Ran out of cards mid-war? You play what you have and lose the tiebreak.
Elimination
Empty your deck and you're out. The last player with cards wins the game.
Live stats we track
- Ties — how many times a war was triggered.
- Wars fought — total escalations (a double-war round counts twice).
- Deepest war — longest chain of wars in a single round.
- 1-point wins — a 10 beating a 9, a King beating a Queen.
- Blowouts — rank difference of 10 or more.
- Ace battles — two or more Aces flipped in one round.
- Perfect fives — rank difference of exactly 5.
- Silly faceoffs — in a 2-player game we count every rank pair (like the famous 6–7 faceoff).
- Longest win streak — most consecutive rounds a single player took.
